BBLÜV Echö – home doppler for listening to your baby’s heartbeat
What does your little heart beat sound like today? The BBLÜV Echö fetal doppler brings the special moments of the waiting period home. With the portable fetal doppler, you can listen to your baby’s heartbeat in the comfort of your own home and save them as a memory.Echö is designed specifically for home use. The device’s sensitive sensor helps you find your baby’s heartbeat, and as your pregnancy progresses, finding the heartbeat usually becomes easier as your baby grows. In addition to heartbeats, the device can also hear other sounds from the womb, such as baby movements, kicks and hiccups.
When can you hear your baby’s heartbeat with a home doppler?
The manufacturer recommends using the BBLÜV Echö home doppler from week 16 of pregnancy. In the earlier weeks of pregnancy, the baby is still very small, so finding the heartbeat can be difficult. The position of the baby and the placenta, for example, also affects how easily the heartbeat can be found. The fact that you cannot hear the heartbeat with a home doppler does not in itself indicate the baby's health. As your pregnancy progresses and your baby grows, it usually becomes easier to find the heartbeat.Listen to and record your baby's heartbeat
One of the best features of the BBLÜV Echo is the ability to record your baby's heartbeat. You can record the small heartbeat as a memory from your pregnancy and share this important moment with your spouse, grandparents or other loved ones, for example. Thanks to the two AUX outputs, you can also listen to your baby's heartbeat together.
Easy-to-use fetal doppler for home
Using the Echo is simple:- Turn on the home doppler using the On/Off/Volume control.
- First, test the device against your own heart. It is easier to recognize your own heartbeat from the baby's heartbeat.
- Place the home doppler on your stomach.
- Move the doppler very slowly over your stomach to find your baby's heartbeat. When you find the heartbeat, adjust the volume to a comfortable level and listen. The baby's position is constantly changing, so the right place to listen may be different on different days.
What is the difference between a baby's and a mother's heart rate?
A baby's heart typically beats much faster than an adult's heart. Listening to your own heart rate before looking for your baby's heart sounds will help you to understand the difference between the sounds. A home doppler can also hear sounds related to the blood flow in the placenta, the umbilical cord, and the mother's blood circulation. Therefore, not all sounds heard with a doppler should be interpreted as the baby's heart rate. The BBLÜV Echö operates on the 9 V battery included, so it does not need to be connected to the mains.
